Anderson Keaton King, beloved husband, father, son, brother, colleague, friend, and soldier passed away on November 2, 2023 at the age of 27. He was a source of joy and inspiration to all who knew him and left an indelible mark on the lives he touched. Andy was born on March 25, 1996 in Columbia, SC. He graduated from Clarke County High School, where he met his wife, Amy. Their love story began there in 2007 and they were married in 2018. Andy pursued his education in agricultural studies in the Cadet Corps of Virginia Tech, where he graduated in 2018 and subsequently commissioned as an officer in the United States Army Reserves. He embraced his military service with unwavering dedication, rising to the rank of Captain. His commitment to his country and the values he held dear was truly commendable. In addition to all of this, he also was Helena Agri-Enterprises’ top selling branch manager, expanding the business to reaches unheard of in its history or in such short tenure. And in his free time, was an active member of the Woodstock community, with one example being running the chains at the Central High School football games. Andy had a deep love for farming and agriculture and couldn’t wait to have his own farm one day. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Radford King and father-in-law, Vincent Legare Jr. Andy is survived by his loving wife, Amy Legare King, and their cherished daughter, Adalyn King; brothers, Alexander King (Lauren), Adam King (Caylee), Ash King; parents, Christopher and Kay King; grandparents, Joanne and Francis Eargle and Evelyn King; nephews, Charlie and Henry King; aunt and uncle, Sheila and Wayne Eargle; cousins, Connor and Hayden Eargle; mother-in-law, Tracey Legare; sister-in-law, Nicole Tinsman (Trae); brother-in-law, Vincent Legare III; and many other family and friends. Though Andy’s time on this earth was brief, his legacy is one of love, courage, determination, and unwavering kindness. His memory will remain a source of strength and inspiration for those that he knew. Andy was over-intentional in making sure those around him were doing what they loved. Celebrate Andy’s legacy by pursuing your goals, loving unconditionally, becoming the best version of yourself. A funeral service to honor Andy’s life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds in Woodstock, with Pastor Nathan Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. In this time of grief, we remember a life well-lived and a soul deeply cherished. Andy’s memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to embrace every moment, treasure our loved ones, and honor the beauty of existence. May he rest in eternal peace.
