Robin Sue Rudolph Racey

The staff of Heishman Funeral Home sends condolences to the family of Mrs. Robin Sue Rudolph Racey. Robin Sue Rudolph Racey, age 69, of Woodstock, Virginia, passed away Thursday evening, June 19, 2025, surrounded by family at home. She was born October 18, 1955, in Winchester, Virginia, the third child of the late Max Rudolph and Anna Marie Brill Rudolph. Robin was preceded in death by her parents and beloved sister Sherry Jean Graham. She is survived by her husband Kermit Lee Racey, II of Woodstock, VA; a son, Kermit Lee Racey, III, of Woodstock VA; a daughter, Erin Hillary Racey (James Bharathan Rozzi) of Edinburg, VA; four grandchildren- James Matthew Rozzi, Lauren Faith Rozzi, Kristen Danielle Rozzi and Nathan Robert Rozzi. She is also survived by her brother in law Terry Graham (late wife-Sherry Graham) and nephews, Chris Graham (Judy Whitlock Graham), Christina Graham, Christopher Graham and Jared Graham; Brian Graham (Sherry Graham), Brian Graham Jr and family, Cody Graham and family; Sister Linda Steele (Ronnie Steele); niece Lisa Steele Souder (Greg Souder) and brother Rockford Eugene Rudolph (Malinda Rudolph) and niece Marlee Grace Rudolph; as well as her beloved dog Shadow. She also leaves behind innumerable other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Robin was a graduate of Central High School in Woodstock, Virginia, graduating two years early. She then attended Strayer College in Virginia. She worked as a legal secretary, a teller for the Treasurer’s office in Shenandoah County and was a devoted homemaker. Her home was always filled with not only her own children but also her nieces, nephews and friends. She served as PTO president of W. W. Robinson, a girl scout leader, a den mother and spent her evenings shuffling children to sports practices, music lessons and events. She was a member of the Woodstock Christian Church and helped facilitate Vacation Bible School when her children were young. However, the greatest attribute of Robin was her ability to teach us all that it is possible to experience joy, love, peace and happiness even in the midst of unimaginable difficult circumstances. Her steady demeanor was a reminder of her strength and faith. She kept a smile on her face even in the midst of pain; she was encouraging even in the midst of fear; she was strong even in the midst of weakness. She taught gratitude in the dark spaces of her life, and she gave to others her time and resources whenever she could. We hold tight to the promise, Revelation 21:4, “And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; neither sorrow, nor crying; neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things have passed away.” For this we are so happy for her freedom, but we love and miss her unimaginably. We ask that all hold tight to the example she shared. A small gathering of immediate family and friends will be held privately.
