Anna Katherine Locke,91, of Woodstock, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service,14116 S. Middle Road, Edinburg, VA. Burial will be private in Harrisville Cemetery in Toms Brook. Mrs. Locke was born February 24, 1927 in Woodstock, daughter of the late Elmer and Golda Conner Sager. She attended Toms Brook High School and had worked at Woodstock Aileen and Massanutten Military Academy. She was a member of St.John’s United Church of Christ in Harrisville for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Locke, whom she married July 6, 1945; a daughter; two sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Locke (Candy) of Woodstock, Millie Gill (Punkie) of Woodstock, and JohnLocke (Teresa) of Strasburg; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren;and one great great grandson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the cemetery fund at St. John's UCC, c/o Jack Showalter, 73 Dean Road, TomsBrook, VA 22660. Mom enjoyed traveling, having fun and going to dances. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
