Barbara A. Bowman of Woodstock, formerly of Toms Brook, joined her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2020. At the age of 89, she has reunited with her husband, Billy P Bowman, for their first Christmas in Heaven. Barbara’s ancestry began on Hahn’s Lane in Toms Brook even though she was born in Chattanooga TN. She returned to Shenandoah County, fell in love with and married Bill Bowman where they made Toms Brook their forever home. She is survived by their children Mitzi Burgess, Lisa Keller and Scot Bowman as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Barbara was a member of the Toms Brook United Methodist Church and very active in the Shawnee Girl Scout Council as well as the Toms Brook Volunteer Fire Auxiliary. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund c/o Judy Taylor 80 Sanitary Ln Toms Brook VA 22660, Response PO Box 287 Woodstock VA 22664, Toms Brook Volunteer Fire Department or the Woodstock Volunteer Rescue Squad.
