Carroll Edward “Moe” Lambert, 80, of Woodstock, passed Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 9 from 2-4 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service near Edinburg. Burial will be at a later date in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. He was born on April 19, 1938, in Woodstock, son of the late Ralph John Lambert and Emma Funkhouser Lambert. He graduated from Woodstock High School. He worked for C&R/Grubbs Chevrolet for five years and retired from Shenandoah Telephone Company as an Electronic Technician after forty years of service. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Woodstock. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Rebecca R. Lambert, Peggy Lambert Hollar, and Dorothy Ann Lambert; three brothers, John P. Lambert, Howard L. Lambert and Gordon R. Lambert; two grandsons, Adam Edward Goodier and Andrew Showalter and sister in law, Betty Lambert. Surviving are a son, John “Robin” Lambert of Woodstock; two daughters, B.J. Goodier and husband Bob Goodier of Mt. Jackson and Mary L. Miller and husband Scott Miller of Bristow; granddaughter, Erin Rose Goodier of Mt. Jackson; sister, Jean Lambert Foster of Middletown; two brothers, Richard L. Lambert and wife Marcie of Woodstock and Jerry W. Lambert of Edinburg. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his aunt Margaret Funkhouser of Woodstock and a number of cousins. Also, surviving is his former wife of 28 years, Trudy Louise Knode of Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Adam Goodier Memorial Fund, 5304 Main Street, Mt. Jackson, VA 22842.
