Charles "Punky" L. Gill

The staff at Heishman Funeral Home Inc. sends condolences to the family of Charles "Punky" L. Gill. Charles Luther “Punky” Gill, Jr., 79, of Woodstock, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Greenfield Reflections. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Baptist Church in Edinburg. Pastors Chad Estep and James Bailey will officiate. Burial will be private in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Gill was born September 7, 1942, in Shenandoah County, son of the late Charles Luther Gill and Maxine Virginia Rittenour Gill. He was a 1960 graduate of Central High School and served in the army national guard. He worked for Virginia Power for 37 years and was a member of Valley Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife, Mildred “Millie” Arlene Locke Gill whom he married on February 24, 1968; son, Aaron Gill of Woodstock; sister, Suzanne Levine of Columbia, MD., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Fitzhugh and brothers, Harry and Robin Gill.
