He always enjoyed hunting camp even if he wasn’t hunting and a highlight of every week was Sunday mornings at Bubby’s Breakfast Club. Doug is survived by his wife, JoAnn Walters Pence whom he married on December 26, 1970; two sons, Devon Pence and wife Whitney of Woodstock and Justin Pence and wife Jamie of Edinburg; sister, Patricia Lineberg and husband Kenneth of Stephens City; brother, Thomas Pence and wife Bonnie of Timberville; three grandchildren, Hayden, Anderson and Harper Pence; and niece, Amy Pence of Bridgewater. He will be especially missed by his butcher building cohort and passenger seat sidekick - Opie Pence, his Border Collie. At Doug’s long-standing request the LONE pallbearer will be Jason Bushong.
