Helen May Andes Foltz

Helen May Andes Foltz, 91, of Edinburg, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Woodstock. Pastor Ken Sparks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30 -11:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Mrs. Foltz was born November 28, 1929 in Timberville, daughter of the late Emanuel Driver Andes and Bernice Kesner Andes. She was a graduate of Timberville High School. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church for 47 years where she was a former Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frederick Foltz; three sisters, Ava Tusing, Evelyn George and Martha Andes and five brothers, Paul Driver Andes who was killed in World War II, Jake Andes, Lawrence Andes, Ivan Andes and Herman Andes. She is survived by three sons, Terry Foltz and wife Sharon of Edinburg, Wayne Foltz of Timberville, and Barry A. Foltz of Mt. Jackson; six grandchildren, Daniel Foltz, Crystal Hollar and husband John, Mandy Tharp and husband Jamie, Heather Foltz, David Foltz and Blake Foltz and wife Stephanie; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Pallbearers will be David Foltz, Kyle Foltz, Nick Foltz, Blake Foltz, Jamie Tharp and John Hollar. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Missionary Fund of Grace Baptist Church, 1255 Hoover Road, Woodstock, VA 22664.
