James "Jim" Foltz

November 2, 1932 - March 26, 2022

The staff at Heishman Funeral Home Inc. sends condolences to the family of James "Jim" Foltz. James “Jim” Foltz, 89, of Mt. Jackson, VA, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Greenfield Reflections of Woodstock. He was born November 2, 1932 in Mt. Jackson to the late Paul D. Foltz, Sr. and Ida Bowers Foltz. He was a farmer at heart and loved to be on a tractor. He was drafted into the Army in 1953. After serving his time in the military, he was contractor for a construction company. He retired back to the farm in the 90’s. Jim was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a devout Christian. He was preceded in death by his wife Faye Richard Foltz; his longtime love and companion Phyllis Heishman; his brother Paul D. Foltz, Jr.; all three of his children- Gail Lynn White, Cray “Crack” Foltz and Billy Joe Foltz. Left to cherish his memories are his sister Frances Ann Foltz; his grandson James White and wife Mindy White; his granddaughter Tracy White and partner Antonio Smaw; his five great-grandchildren Layla Shutrump, Brianna Dail, Adam Dail, Isaiah Smaw and Cameron Smaw; extended family and many lifelong friends. The family will receive friends at Zion Lutheran Church in Edinburg on Wednesday, March 30 from 11-12 noon with funeral to follow at noon, officiated by Pastor Katie Gosswein. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A meal at the church will be provided following the committal service. Pallbearers will be James White, Alan Dodson, Mike Heishman, Steve Heishman, Allen Heishman and Martin Helsley.
