Joan Carol (Collins) Sarna Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joan Carol (Collins) Sarna, 77, of Maurertown passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Sarna was born in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late Lawrence and Doris Gardner Collins of Baltimore, Maryland. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm Leslie Sarna; two daughters, Stacey Sarna Amey (Christopher) of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, and Melissa Joan Wilson (Shawn) of Hedgesville, West Virginia; and seven grandchildren; Christian, Jacob, Graeme, and Elisabeth Amey, and Carolina Grace, Carter, and Caleb Wilson. Mrs. Sarna was a highly active member in her church, Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Woodstock. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Joan also enjoyed growing and marketing herbs. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 6-8pm at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Mother Kathy Murray officiating. Burial will be in the St. Stephens Episcopal Church Cemetery, Crownsville, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1050 E.
