December 14, 1968 - October 29, 2021
The staff at Heishman Funeral Home Inc. send condolences to the family of John Clifford (JC) Reedy. John Clifford (JC) Reedy, 52, of Woodstock, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, family, and friends at Winchester Medical Center due to complications of COVID. JC was born December 14, 1968, at Fort Belvoir Hospital, son of Georgie Joy Reedy (Pyles) and the late John Herman Reedy of Draper, VA. He was a 1987 graduate of North Stafford High School where he became known as “Speedy Reedy” on and off the basketball court. JC Reedy is survived by the love his life, his wife Amanda (Mandy) Michele Reedy and his five children, Meaghan Amber Jenkins (Brandon Walker) of Virginia Beach, VA, Jake Sheridan Sanfino (Ginny Wallace) of Martinsburg, WV, Camden John Reedy, Miah Catherine Bowman, and Ohklee Jade Reedy (OHKS), granddaughter, Addison Lynn Evers (his blonde bombshell), and two brothers, William Allen Reedy of Woodstock, VA., and Michael Patrick Reedy (Mary Reedy) of Little Falls, Minnesota. JC Reedy was an independent owner/operator for UTZ potato chips, aka JmanZ Snacks, which he and his wife purchased in 2019. A gentle giant, a devoted father, and friend to so many, JC was a lover of great music, and an air guitarist like no other. He was passionate about sports, from high school to professional. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the Maryland Terrapins. He attended many camps at UMD as a teenager and was an amazing basketball, soccer, and softball player representing state and local teams. But his most beloved team of all time was the Central High School Falcons, the school both his son, Camden, and middle daughter, Miah, attend and play a variety of sports, ranging from football to basketball to soccer. He enjoyed cheering them on while always being the loudest, proudest dad in the stands while always encouraging them to be the best they could be, knowing that Camden would be a superstar quarterback and Miah was destined to be a D1 soccer star. His love and skillset for sports and music was passed on to each one of his children, instilling fire and passion into his “first true love,” or “Meggy Weggy,” encouraging her to pursue a career in radio where she strives to be the best player on her radio sales team. JC had an amazing heart and would do anything for anyone. He loved spending time with his family. His children and grandchild were the lights of his life, and he cherished each and every moment with them. He was outspoken and charismatic, always a vibrant, bright, loud and energetic personality that not one person could forget, as his presence was always known. He enjoyed spending the weekends throwing back some beers and watching sports with his family and friends. He never knew a stranger and will be missed by so many. A private service will be held for immediate family only at the Valley Funeral Chapel, followed by a celebration of life at the American Legion located at 411 Muhlenberg Street in Woodstock, VA beginning at 5pm on Saturday, November 13. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: GoFundMe, https://tinyurl.com/jcreedy.
