Lena May Donovan Sherman, 89, of Edinburg, Virginia went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was born January 12, 1931 at Columbia Furnace, Virginia, the daughter of the late Paul Monroe Donovan and Nellie Helsley Donovan. Lena worked at Hardee’s as a biscuit maker for over nineteen years. She was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Eppard, four brothers and five sisters. Lena is survived by two sons, Kenneth Eppard and Bruce Wayne Eppard; two daughters, Linda Michael and Ruth Andrews, five grandchildren, Joseph Michael, Jacalyn Andrews, Melody Michael, Brandon Eppard, and Bobby Jo Sherman; four great grandchildren, Kelly Andrews, Bryan Andrew, Shyanne Michael, and Braylon Eppard. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020, 11:00 AM at Columbia Furnace Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Heishman Funeral Service, Inc. and Valley Funeral Service Branch, Bowman’s Crossing.
