Mary Florine Silvious, 93, of Edinburg, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Pastor Dale Bowers will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. Mrs. Silvious was born July 14, 1928, in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late Vernon and Edna White Kirby. She worked at Blue Bell and Millers Nursing Home in Woodstock. She was a member of Community Mission Church of the Brethren in Woodstock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil P. Silvious who passed away in May of 2000; seven sisters, Virginia Russell, Elizabeth Irwin, Edith Helsley, Kathryn Mauck, Helen Day, Elenore Neff, and Gladys Sortzi; and two brothers, Vernon Kirby and Allen Kirby. She is survived by three sisters, Charlotte Wilkins of Edinburg, Arlene Whisman of Woodstock, and Norma Polk of Woodstock; brother, Richard Kirby of Timberville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
