Michael Harris Windle, 63, of Woodstock, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Wakeman’s Grove Church of the Brethren in Edinburg. Pastor Mark Bowyer will officiate. A gathering in celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 130 W. North St, Woodstock, VA following the burial. Mr. Windle was born April 5, 1957 in Pennsylvania, son of Marie R. Stickley Windle of Edgewood, MD., and the late Robert Edward Windle. He was a former carpenter having worked in MD. and D.C. He attended Abundant Life Church in Stephen City and was a former member of Strasburg Moose Lodge. Mike is also survived by his children, Dawn Marie Windle of Michigan, Michael H. Windle II of Michigan, James Strother of Woodstock, Kenneth Strother of Woodstock, Richard Fox of Basye and Michael Fox of Inwood, WVA; brothers, Buryl Windle of Stephen City, Larry Gene Windle and Robert Windle both of Bel Air, MD; his best friend, Barbara Windle of Woodstock; aunt, Jenny Windle Shell of Front Royal; numerous grandchildren, one great grandson; and abundance of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Tome. Pallbearers will be James Strother, Kane Strother, Michael Fox, Richard Fox, Robert Windle, Daniel Windle and Kenneth Strother.
