Robert Lee Mason Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The staff at Heishman Funeral Home Inc. sends condolences to the family of Robert Lee Mason. Robert Lee Mason, 76, of Woodstock, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Pike Church of the Brethren in Maurertown. Pastors Jonathan Fletcher and Bobby Funkhouser will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Mr. Mason was born August 22, 1945, in Maryland, son of the late Earl Dixon Mason and Mabel Lyons Mason. He was a graduate of Strasburg High School. He owned and operated R. L. Mason. He was a roofer and general contactor for over 61 years. He was a member of Valley Pike Church of the Brethren and Candy’s Breakfast Club. He is survived by his wife, Linda Seal Mason whom he married on December 27, 1965; daughter, Lea Ann Mason Lezotte and husband Frank of Denton, MD.; son, R. Scott Mason and wife Heidi of Strasburg; brother, George Mason and wife June of Strasburg; two sisters, Earline Bowman and husband Raymond of Woodstock and Margaret Rush and husband Bob of Maurertown; and four grandchildren, Joey Lezotte and wife Laura, Michael Lezotte, Arleigh Mason and Rebecca Mason. Pallbearers will be Frank Lezotte, Joey Lezotte, Michael Lezotte, David Mason, Terry Seal and Harold Seal Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Bowman, Guy Gochenour, Ricky Kibler, Dale Fogle, Glen Keller, and Eddie Estep. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Valley Pike Church of the Brethren, PO Box 215 Maurertown, VA 22644 or charity of choice. Robert put roofs on numerous homes and businesses in Shenandoah County. He enjoyed traveling cross country and hunting.
