Ruth Eleanore Randall Crowe

The staff at Heishman Valley Funeral Service sends condolences to the family of Ruth Eleanore (Randall) Crowe. Ruth Eleanore (Randall) Crowe, age 98, of Edinburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17th, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. Pastors Joe Fleming and Duke McCaffrey will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 at the home of Sandy Ross. She was born on July 23rd, 1923, in Neptune, New Jersey, to James Randall and Mary Elizabeth Stallwood Randall. She was blessed by four (4) siblings who predeceased her: James Irving Randall, Dorothy Mae Frazee, Lois Elizabeth Gettler Smock and Florence Anna MacDowell. She was employed by S.S. Adams (a joke/trick factory) until she eloped in 1956. Ruth married Doyle Henry Crowe, Sr. on October 8th, 1956, following him around the United States with the U.S. Army and eventually making their home in New Jersey for many years and then moving to Virginia for several years until his death in 1986. Ruth was a 1942 graduate of Neptune High School, enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and embroidery and looking at pictures. Her handwork was beautiful and will be treasured by anyone who has been gifted by a piece. Ruth is survived by her stepdaughter, Alice-Fay Rath and husband Uli of Imperia Italy; sons Doyle Henry Crowe, Jr. of Edinburg, VA, and Ronald LeRoy Crowe and wife Sandi of Edinburg, VA; and daughter Sandra Ruthmary Ross and husband Ronnie of Edinburg, VA. She is also survived by grandchildren: Claudia Rath-Pasalic, Bettina Rath, Joachim Rath, Matthew Samuel Crowe, Brittany Amanda Crowe, Summer Lynn Crowe, Randielle Elisabeth DeBoard and Rachel Cathryn Heird. And, she is survived by great grandchildren: Jennifer Pasalic, Alessandra Addari, Jaxson Wayne DeBoard and newest addition in June, 2022. Pallbearers will be Carl Bright, Jr., David Bright, Matthew Crowe, Jack Heird, Leslie Hollar, Toby Markley, and R. Keith Richards. Honorary Pallbearers will be the "Just For Fun" Square Dancers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice or the Edinburg Vol Fire Department in memory of Ruth.
