The staff at Heishman Funeral Home Inc. sends condolences to the family of Sally D. Lahn. Sally D. Lahn, 88, of Edinburg, Virginia, passed away May 24th, 2022. A celebration of life service for Sally will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Edinburg Christian Church (210 Center St., Edinburg, VA) with Pastor Eric Van Leeuwen officiating. Sally was born December 7th, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Theodore R. Davis and Elizabeth B. McClanahan. In 1953 Sally would marry the love of her life, the late Robert G. Lahn and the two would remain married for 59 years, until his death in 2012. Sally and Robert went on to have two children and one grandchild. In 1999, after 21 years of service, she retired from Shenandoah County public schools to her home in Edinburg where she enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, and gardening. She was a long standing member of the Edinburg Christian Church; her faith and family being the most important thing throughout her life. In addition to her parents and husband, Sally was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita D. Eppard of Hollywood, MD. Survivors include her son Robert G. Lahn Jr. of Brentwood, NY, daughter, Margaret “Peggy” E. Lahn of Edinburg, grandson, Kevin R. Lahn of Edinburg, and her loyal feline companion, Liza-May. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg, VA or the Edinburg Christian Church, 210 Center St., Edinburg, VA.
