Sarah “Sally” Ellis Donovan, 53, of Stafford and formerly of Toms Brook, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Mary Washington Hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 11:00am at First Church of Columbia Furnace, 19 Union Church Road, Edinburg, VA 22824. A fellowship lunch will follow at the church. Mrs. Donovan was born May 10, 1968, in Winchester, VA., daughter of the late Don Franklin Ellis and Betty Lou Burke Ellis. She was a truck driver for CLS and a former dental hygienist. Sally is survived by her son, Dustin Wayne Donovan of Stafford; ex-husband, Vernon E. Donovan Jr. of Toms Brook; three brothers, Donnie Arbogast Sr. and wife Jane of Slainesville, WV., Mark Arbogast of August, WV., and David Arbogast and wife Terri of Toms Brook; sister, Christine Stickles and husband Richard of Strasburg and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
