Virginia Belle Hollar, 85, of Woodstock, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock. Mrs. Hollar was born March 13, 1936 in Winchester, daughter of the late Walter Blanchfield Sr. and Opal Mae Johnson Blanchfield. She was a cook for 35 years at Valley Lunch in Edinburg. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Lee Hollar and brother, Elmer Blanchfield. She is survived by a son, Robert Hollar and wife Penny of Mt. Jackson; two daughters, Sharon Ross and Kathy Hollar both of Woodstock; brother, Walter Blanchfield Jr. and wife Sadie of Stephenson; two sisters, Mary Welzel and husband Walter of Winchester and Evelyn Drummond and husband Donald of Stephenson; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia loved NASCAR, reading, watching westerns, loved to cook and enjoyed her Diet-Dr. Peppers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
